夜幕降临，有着不同生活和经历的人们鱼贯而入，坐进了飞往东京的太平洋航空7500次航班的机舱。喜怒哀乐，不经意流露出来。他们有的正为外遇左右为难，有的正经历婚变，有的寡廉鲜耻渴望一场艳遇，有的为可能到来的意外怀孕担忧，有的自顾自沉浸在蜜月的浪漫中不管他人。少顷，飞机起飞，谁知不久遭遇一阵强气流，结果一名衣冠楚楚、正襟危坐的男子心脏病突发，虽经众人抢救，却不幸猝死机上。经过和地面的短暂交涉后，机组人员将上层机舱腾出来，把尸体暂时安置在那里。 似乎以此为开端，接下来的八小时内，恐怖诡异的气氛在飞机内蔓延，各怀心事的乘客和机组人员经历着人生最重大的变故……
